eBay: Evil Dead 2: Winged Deadite Stop Motion Armature (Very Rare), Screen Used

Screen used

"Winged Deadite"

Stop Motion Armature

As seen in the Cult Horror Classic EVIL DEAD II

Tom Sullivan creator of the BOOK Of The DEAD from the EVIL DEAD horror film series created this original screen used prop for the cult horror classic EVIL DEAD 2: Dead By Dawn

"Winged Deadite Stop Motion Armature"

The skull was sculpted with grooves cut into its surface.

These grooves would guide the mono-filament line attached from the hex headed screws in the back of the head to the underside of the foam latex facial skin. The Deadite could smile and frown with it's mouth and raise and lower it's eyebrows. If you look frame by frame during one of the profile shots from the EVIL DEAD 2: Dead By Dawn finale you will see the Deadite smile in between wing flaps. The jaw still works.

Don't Miss This Rare Chance To Grab A Piece Of Horror Film History!

Bidding Starts At: $2,600.00

Page comes with COA signed by Tom Sullivan,

Plus a 8"x10" Photo of Tom with Prop

And one of Tom's original 8"x10"

"SCREAMING SKULL" drawings

eBay: Lifesize ASH Evil Dead Bruce Campbell Signed Ultra RARE

This auction is for a Lifesize Ash Figure, in his famous pose with chain saw and shot gun as seen in the Evil Dead Films. He is truly stunning.

This figure is very rare and was made by the very famous Muckle Mannequins. A very limited number were produced approx (50). However this particular figure has been signed on his chain saw by Bruce Campbell himself, making this a very collectable mannequin indeed.

Ash does have some damage particularly between his legs however this does not distract from his overall impressive appearance. I have been told this type of damage can be repaired by a specialist. Ash stands approx 7ft tall including shotgun. Only selling to make some room but will be very sad to see him go.

Starting at a very cheap price as i have seen this particular figure sell for more than £3000 some years ago, but as stated he does have some damage.

Any questions feel free to ask. This item is PICK UP Only we live near Croydon in Surrey. Ash does come apart so would be easy to transport in a medium sized car. Please view my other auction as i am listing a lifesize Scarface.

SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY.

Remake Rant: The Evil Dead | Gores Truly

Meg writes:
Rumors, stories, conspiracy theories, etc. have been circling the internet and convention circles for years. There’s going to be an Evil Dead remake! Oh wait, just kidding. No seriously, this time! Gotcha!

The back and forth, is it or isn’t it of an Evil Dead remake is horror’s favorite gag.

Up until now. It seems that Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures is officially reviewing a script. Officially. Like – serious business.

So many people are excited. Me? A little bit jaded. Maybe it’s because the only options I see don’t involve Bruce – or potentially involve stifling the progression of one of Horror’s greatest anti-heroes.

[Sid] Army of Darkness: Ash

This character has been on my list for a long time now, and my recent revelation of mini-muggs and other small vinyls, gave me a great chance to work on this character, Ash from Army of Darkness. I've also been waiting to make a custom that would give me a chance to incorporate magnets into the custom, and Ash's removable chainsaw was a perfect fit. So yes the mini chainsaw is fully detachable and is magnetic. Also Included on this custom are real leather straps and a gun sheath made out of felt. I really enjoyed working on the character itself and it also gave me a good excuse to watch the movie a couple times over, haha. Someone said it would be cool to make a base for him, So I used the poster art for my inspiration on the base he stands on. The base is a mound of dirt, with skeleton pieces resting in a pile then behind them is his car that he's stands on in the poster. Im very pleased with how everything came together and turned out in the end, I hope you guys like him too! This guy is also available for purchase, if anyone is interested just send me a pm. Thanks in advance!

Dark Horse President: Bruce Campbell Vs. Frankenstein Has A Script, May Get Going Later This Year

Excerpt:
Fans of "Evil Dead" star Bruce Campbell will be happy to know that plans for yet another film starring the actor are in the works.

"Bruce and I had a blast doing 'My Name Is Bruce,' and Bruce's fans really liked it," said Richardson of the 2007 film that pitted Campbell against a vengeful demon. "We have a script for 'Bruce Campbell Vs. Frankenstein,' but because of Bruce's television work it got delayed. We're hoping to get going on it later this year. We have ideas for several sequels, as long as can keep making them."

Fangoria: Is “DEAD” alive…again?

Speculation about the EVIL DEAD remake has been making the rounds for some time. Here’s the latest update from Sam Raimi’s producing partner Rob Tapert.

Digital Spy reports that the Detroit Free Press spoke with Tapert, who commented that an EVIL DEAD reboot is “possible; we’re looking at a script this month. What’s interesting about EVIL DEAD is very few people saw it in the format we made it for, which is for the theater… I think Sam wants to embrace the ultimate experience in grueling terror and see it remade for a proper theatrical experience.”

Ghost House Films To Review EVIL DEAD Remake Script This Month

Keven Skinner writes:
Rob Tapert, the man behind Ghost House Films, has revealed that the studio will begin reviewing a script for their upcoming planned remake of Evil Dead later this month.

Tapert runs Ghost House with director Sam Raimi, who got his start in Hollywood helming the original Evil Dead film in the 80's, eventually turning that film into a trilogy starring the now legendary Bruce Campbell. Tapert addressed the idea of Evil Dead getting the reboot treatment saying the idea isn't such a far stretch.

"It's possible; we're looking at a script this month. What's interesting about Evil Dead is very few people saw it in the format we made it for, which is for the theater. I think Sam wants to embrace the ultimate experience in grueling terror and see it remade for a proper theatrical experience," said Tapert.

No casting or decisions on a director have been made at this time.

Detroit Free Press: 'Spartacus' series a thrilling ride for MSU pals

B.J. Hammerstein writes:
A quarter of a century ago, few people could've predicted Rob Tapert would emerge as a Hollywood heavyweight responsible for some of today's most popular and sensational fantasy and horror genre vehicles, including tonight's premiere of Starz's "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena."

His coursework at Michigan State University was filled mostly with economics and history credits. But a group of friends including Sam Raimi (who'd go on to direct the "Spider-Man" franchise) and Bruce Campbell (who'd become a name actor in movies and TV) put their twisted young minds together and exploded onto the silver-screen scene with the 1981 cult classic "The Evil Dead."

Over the past 30 years Tapert, 55, has produced a plethora of popcorn entertainment like "Darkman" and "The Gift." In 2004, Tapert and Raimi's big-screen horror label Ghost House Pictures debuted with the monster hit "The Grudge." They have since produced more than a dozen films, including 2009's throwback "Drag Me to Hell."

On the small screen, their partnership has been just as fertile with "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess," which starred Lucy Lawless, whom Tapert married in 1998.

Tonight, the latest installment of their bloody-good brand "Spartacus" will be unleashed with a six-episode prequel. A second season of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" is set to begin production this spring.

From B List to B+

Jen Sisco writes:
In November of 2010, the USA network announced that they were going to make a prequel movie to accompany their hit series Burn Notice in the spring of 2011. I am a fan of the show, well mostly I’m a fan of any show that has to do with spies, explosions or yogurt, but the thing that really sparked my interest about this movie was that it would focus on the character Sam Axe, who is portrayed by Bruce Campbell.

I was overcome by a sense of pride. It felt like all of the years I have been rooting for the underdog of actors and now the mainstream finally seems to have taken a liking to him, too. He has been a member of the cast since the show’s inception and the character he plays exudes all of the characteristics that make any of Campbell’s characters memorable. He is charismatic and charming but always with that evil twinkle in the eye that begs the question, “What’s he really up to?” Campbell’s characters radiate a smarminess that is rather unique to his work. This makes him a great character actor and it is always nice to see someone do well – that is if you like the person. Bruce Campbell captured my heart with the Evil Dead films and I have been rooting for him (well, for his career) ever since. Thinking about this prompted me to compile a list of reasons why Bruce Campbell is awesome.

HorrorBid.com: WHAT IF? EVIL DEAD - The Remake

Ohhhhh will nothing be sacred when this eventually happens and who are we kidding? It's going to happen and just a matter of when at this point. We've heard from the mouth of the man himself, Sam Raimi (director of the Evil Dead series), that eventually we would see a Bruce Campbell-less remake. But how will it all play out?...
