Bruce Campbell Says Sam Raimi Is Working On An Evil Dead 'Bible,' With New Movies Every Two To Three Years
This week, in an interview with THe AV Club Campbell explained that while the universe is the same, the future of the series doesn't belong to Ash or any legacy characters anymore. "It's all about the books now," Campbell explained. That is, the "Evil Dead" brand going forward will center on the terrors that the three Books of the Dead unleash on innocent, unsuspecting people.
Campbell also revealed that he and Raimi now have a goal and roadmap for the franchise moving forward — and that involves creating an "Evil Dead" lore bible to pass down to future collaborators.

Evil Dead Rise | Exclusive Clip "Dead By Dawn"
In this exclusive clip, a mother and her daughter are trapped in an elevator as a pool of blood floods in. To make matters worse, Deadites are crawling in from above, chanting, "Dead by dawn," a callback to Sam Raimi's original trilogy. The clip ends with the elevator doors busting open and blood splashing out, an obvious homage to The Shining.

Ahead of Evil Dead Rise arriving in theaters on April 21, producer/franchise star Bruce Campbell will appear on a very special episode of “Impractical Jokers” next week. Airing on Thursday, April 13 at 10pm ET on TruTV, the episode guest starring Bruce Campbell was previewed on social media today, and it teases an Evil Dead spoof. Scream Queen Alyssa Sutherland Talks Terrifying Turn As The Star Of “Evil Dead Rise”
Australian actress Alyssa Sutherland is perhaps best known for playing a Viking (Queen Aslaug on History’s breakout series, Vikings, that is), and now you’ll see her terrifying turn in Evil Dead Rise, the fifth installment of the iconic Evil Dead franchise. The film premiered at SXSW last month, but will have a theatrical release on April 21. Sutherland plays the character of Ellie, one of two estranged sisters in this twisted tale, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable. Prior to her acting career kickoff, Sutherland was a model, whose appeared in the world’s top fashion magazines, as well as in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and Bulgari, among others.
