This September, Ash and the Army of Darkness is headed to the ’70s in Army of Darkness: 1979 from Dynamite Entertainment.
Ashley Joanna Williams finds himself this time in late 70s New York City. In a less cleaned up era, that means gangs tussle for every block in the South Bronx. And these particular gangs model themselves after zombies and vampires. Things only get even more out of control when they find the one and only Necronomicon!

New Line has found some fresh meat for Evil Dead Rise, the latest chapter in the Evil Dead horror franchise.

Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies and Nell Fisher have joined Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan in the feature, which goes before cameras in June and is intended for HBO Max.

While most of the other Dead movies revolved around the demonic goings-on at a cabin in the woods, the new tale takes the corpses to the city and tells of two estranged sisters (Sutherland and Sullivan) whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival.

Details are being kept in the book, but sources say the trio will play siblings in peril.

From bloody-disgusting.com:

We spent nearly two decades begging for a follow-up to Army of Darkness and now Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have spoiled us with the 2013 Evil Dead and an entire “Ash vs. Evil Dead” series. It’s surreal to think that we’re getting even more with the universe expanding Evil Dead Rise that’s being produced for HBO Max.
With Raimi and Campbell once again producing, Evil Dead Rise is set up at New Line Cinema, and in the director’s chair this time around is Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground), who just revealed that production has officially kicked off in New Zealand!

Evil Dead Documentary Hail to the Deadites Coming to On Demand This Summer
