Ghost House Films To Review EVIL DEAD Remake Script This Month

Keven Skinner writes:
Rob Tapert, the man behind Ghost House Films, has revealed that the studio will begin reviewing a script for their upcoming planned remake of Evil Dead later this month.

Tapert runs Ghost House with director Sam Raimi, who got his start in Hollywood helming the original Evil Dead film in the 80's, eventually turning that film into a trilogy starring the now legendary Bruce Campbell. Tapert addressed the idea of Evil Dead getting the reboot treatment saying the idea isn't such a far stretch.

"It's possible; we're looking at a script this month. What's interesting about Evil Dead is very few people saw it in the format we made it for, which is for the theater. I think Sam wants to embrace the ultimate experience in grueling terror and see it remade for a proper theatrical experience," said Tapert.

No casting or decisions on a director have been made at this time.
