My name is Mike Pasquale, owner of EvilDeadWorkshed.com. EvilDeadWorkshed.com is the new home of the Evil Dead 2 Workshed and Cabin Exhibit. I am trying to make this exhibit mobile and with 2 Comic Cons already booking me, i am well on my way. But its all out of my own pocket.
I am an Evil Dead II prop builder. I replicate the Chainsaws and the famous wall clock seen throughout the Evil Dead movies. I recently rescued many items from the original filming location of Evil Dead 2 from its shallow grave in Wadesboro North Carolina. A full list of recovered items can be seen at EvilDeadWorkshed.com.
The most prized item that I recovered was the entire Workshed from Evil Dead II. Those of you familiar with the series, the Workshed itself is where Ash’s Chainsaw and main persona were born. I fully funded the project out of pocket along with one donation from a past customer. When I returned home with the Workshed and cabin artifacts, my story went viral throughout the Evil Dead Community. Prior to returning home with these items, I decided to share them with the rest of the fans so that they can see the artifacts up close and personal. I plan on travelling to comic cons across the county to show off all of these items, including the fully assembled Work shed. The Work shed and its means of transportation are my main reasons I am trying to raise money.
An absolute honour to meet this guy while visiting the set of Ash Vs Evil Dead last week. A career highlight day.
The gruesome Evil Dead franchise has touched the lives of millions across the world, turning regular horror movie buffs into extremely devout deadite fans — and Dana DeLorenzo is no exception.
The 33-year old starlet, whose talents range all the way from working on the big screen to Amy Winehouse tribute bands, first bore witness to the third horror installment, Army of Darkness, after listening to her friends obsess over the film. "I saw it in high school and became aware of the impact the franchise had on the horror genre and its cult following," Dana told Maxim. "Since then, I've had the pleasure to meet fans of the films and am blown away by their passion. I love hearing stories of when fans popped their Evil Dead cherry."
Dana has had the pleasure of utilizing her comedic background while playing Kelly Maxwell on STARZ's Ash vs. Evil Dead, a show she says "is not only heavy on scares, but on good old fashioned slapstick laughs, with nothing else like it." Kelly is a woman on the run from her past who joins up with our favorite one-handed buffoon, Ash Williams, to defeat the destructive forces of darkness, all while getting doused with gallons upon gallons of blood.
Hollywood genre meister Sam Raimi and Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck have joined forces to launch a new company producing movies with global ambitions.
The new company, Allegory Holdings is backed by Cultural Investment Holdings, the Shanghai-listed parent of Jackie Chan’s Sparkle Roll Media, and jointly owned by CIH and R&D, a new company headed by Raimi (“The Evil Dead,” “Spider-Man) and German director Henckel von Donnersmarck (“The Lives of Others”.) .
According to a regulatory filing by CIH, Allegory will receive $150 million from CIH for a 60% stake in Allegory, while the R&D pair put up $100,000 for the remaining 40% balance. A further $500 million of funding may be made available dependent on projects.
Allegory will finance and produce films in the $30-$80 million range, with an emphasis on the directorial projects of of Raimi and Henckel von Donnersmarck, as well as movies they produce. CIH will handle their release in China, while the company will seek a Hollywood studio level relationship for international distribution.

ARLINGTON, VA. – Revivals of classic horror and science fiction franchises of the 1980s won top honors in the just-completed 14th Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards, announced April 14 after an online vote by fans and genre professionals worldwide.
The popular EVIL DEAD movie franchise directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell took four awards, including Best DVD, Best Restoration, Best DVD Extra, and Best TV Presentation of 2015 for the offshoot series on STARZ, “Ash vs. Evil Dead.” The TV series’ win ended an impressive six-year Rondo run by AMC’s still-thriving “The Walking Dead.”
If you collect horror toys, there’s a good chance you own at least one or two Living Dead Dolls, which often turn our favorite slasher icons into cute and cuddly toys. Later this year, Hellraiser‘s Pinhead and Trick ‘r Treat‘s Sam join previously released dolls of characters like Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, and Captain Spaulding, and now Ash Williams is being added to the mix.
Over on their official website today, Mezco showed off a sneak peek of their soon-to-be-released Ash Living Dead Doll, which is based on Evil Dead 2. Four images tease the upcoming offering, revealing that Ash will come with his trusty chainsaw-hand and of course, the infamous Book of the Dead. No word yet on when he’ll ship out, but pre-orders will begin in the coming weeks.
I'm Rob; filmmaker, British Evil Dead fan, and owner of http://www.BookOfTheDead.ws & http://www.EvilDeadChainsaws.com
I've been working on an Evil Dead short fanfilm for some months. The script is more ambitious than anything I've done to date, and involves building one large & one small set and paying actors, but is beyond my financial means to fund to a sufficient level, so I have decided to crowdfund this project using Indiegogo. You can donate via that page here;

To give investors an idea of the quality of the final short film, I've shot the film's intro/credits sequence out of my own pocket to use as a 'trailer', and you can see that above. It's entirely new footage shot by myself, there is no footage from any of the 'Evil Dead' Trilogy of films used anywhere in it, although there are a few closely matching shots. Copyright permission for the 'Book Of The Dead' & 'Kandarian Dagger' to be replicated & shown has been given by their copyright owner; Tom Sullivan.
This intro/credits sequence tells little snippets of the story of the 'Book Of The Dead', how it was first found, Professor Knowby translating it at the cabin, and skimming over the events of 'The Evil Dead', leading into to what will be the start of the main film. It was shot using three actors (myself included) over four locations using seven mini-sets taking nine weeks from start to finish, including all the prop/set purchase & construction work. This includes sets of an archaeological dig, the Professor's desk & fireplace in the cabin, as well as little sections of the cellar and workshed too. While based around 'The Evil Dead', eagle eyed fans might spot that I've also borrowed some little prop/set details from 'Evil Dead II' as well.
The full fanfilm script treats the first film; 'The Evil Dead', as a single event (ignoring 'Evil Dead II' & 'Army Of Darkness'), My film will be a continuation of these original events. It'll be more of a scary ghost story like the first film, as opposed to the action/adventure of the second & third films, and won't feature any of the existing main characters from the series in the body of the film. The script has already been written (which will come in around the 20-30 minute mark depending on the budget raised), a budget calculated, and set & prop designs finalized.
This would be my third recent short film. You can see my previous short; 'The Lateness Of The Hour' (which is being screened at the Sacramento Film Festival in April 2016), and a personally shot documentary about my Evil Dead fandom below;

Already a handful of episodes into the filming of Season 2, Ash vs. Evil Dead executive producer Craig DiGregorio made an appearance at WonderCon as part of a showrunner panel, but then sat down with Collider to chat about where things are going next on the Starz horror-comedy series. After riding off to Jacksonville with Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo), Ash (Bruce Campbell) is enjoying retirement from killing Deadites while Ruby (Lucy Lawless) has to contend with her plan not quite going according to her expectations.
During the exclusive interview, Craig DiGregorio talked about how Season 1 has affected their approach to Season 2, wanting 2% character growth for Ash, the plan for the new season, the addition of new characters, getting into Ash’s past before he read the book, using even more blood this season, Pablo and Kelly’s journey, Ruby’s motivations, what it’s like to be a showrunner, and Sam Raimi’s continued influence on the story. Be aware that there are spoilers.
I was afforded an amazing opportunity to interview the very talented Tom Sullivan. Tom is the man behind all of the eye candy in the movie "Evil Dead", the first entry into one of my all time favorite trilogies!
