His name is Bruce: B-movie giant, TV actor Campbell takes a moment to catch his breath and catch up with the Free Press

Randall King writes:
The Blu-ray release of Sam Raimi's landmark 1981 horror movie The Evil Dead still packs a punch. One of the film's many surprises is seeing its star Bruce Campbell acting like a mild-mannered dork in the roll of demon fighter Ash.

In subsequent movies Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, Campbell honed the character into a world-class arrogant jerk. Ash's can-do spirit even carries through in the TV series Burn Notice, where Campbell is now comfortably ensconced playing the charmingly sleazy retired government operative Sam Axe, and it's on display big-time in Campbell's self-directed horror parody My Name Is Bruce in which Campbell plays himself as an arrogant coward up against a demonic entity.

Campbell spoke to the Winnipeg Free Press about the insanely punishing work required for making The Evil Dead, and what he's doing now.
