Paul Giamatti spoke with Examiner.com on the 1th January 2010 to expose a little more information about the current state of play:
He was asked if Bubba Nosferatu was in the same vein as Bubba Ho-Tep and he replied with: "Yes, it’s even weirder, and that’s part of the problem. It’s more out-there than Bubba Ho-tep is. It’s really great though". The last question he was asked about Bubba Nosferatu was who he wanted to play Elvis in the movie. He answered: "We were talking to Ron Perlman to play Elvis. Bruce Campbell played Elvis (in Bubba Ho-tep), but I don’t think he wants to do it".
