U.S. director Sam Raimi, known for helming the "Spider-Man" film franchise, said he was honored to receive the 2009 Visionary Award at the Key Art Awards.
The honorary award is given to a filmmaker who inspires movie marketers, the Hollywood Reporter said Saturday.
"I'd like to thank all my creative peers who I learn so much from in the marketing of these movies," Raimi said at Friday's award show at the Geffen Contemporary. "I'll try to live up to this great honor."
