Scott Spence's production of the inspired-by-campy-B movies Evil Dead: The Musical was expected to do well, so Spence built an extended run into the schedule when he cast the show. But it's done even better than that, and in a rare stroke of theatrical serendipity, Evil Dead has been held over a second time — through July 26, including an 11 p.m. performance Friday, July 19. The other performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 p.m. Sundays, with no performance July 4, at Beck Center for the Arts Studio Theatre (17801 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, beckcenter.org, 216.521.2540).
