EVIL DEAD’s Ellen Sandweiss talks DANGEROUS WOMEN

Episode 2 Here:

“Because Strike.tv originated partially as a fundraiser to help Hollywood crewmembers who were affected by the writers’ strike, and because it was somewhat of a spec venture, everyone who worked on DANGEROUS WOMEN volunteered their time. Yes, you heard it right! And everyone involved was a professional working in the film and television industry, so we had an extremely talented and devoted group. We shot six episodes, each running approximately four-six minutes, in five days on five different locations. Everything ran very smoothly—with the exception of the power outage in the warehouse where we shot the battle scene, which made for a pretty challenging day! But the best thing about the project was being able to act again with Betsy and Theresa—we hadn’t done that together since the original EVIL DEAD."

Someone at USA Network Finally Understands Why We Watch "Burn Notice"

As die-hard Bruce Campbell fans, my family and I have been watching Burn Notice since it began, and we've noticed over the run of the show how his role has grown and grown. These days, while Jeffrey Donovan may still get the best action scenes, Bruce seems to be getting all the best lines. It has led us to believe that the folks behind the show realize they've tapped into the huge Campbell geek fanbase, and that they need to keep us happy. This belief was rewarded with perhaps the most potent piece of evidence this weekend, when we saw the following promo:

Horror Movies You Can't Watch Once

Next up is Army of Darkness and quite shockingly it seems that the consensus with fans who have reviewed it is that I am alone in my love of this movie. I was absolutely SHOCKED to discover that the film had an approval rating of only 61%. That is staggering to me. Army of Darkness I have seen no less then 40 times and it is the one movie that I own in every single format and edition.

Sam Raimi Taps The Shadow Remake

The Shadow is one of the greatest comic book movies ever made. Ok yeah thats a bit of a huge stretch but it is a comic book movie at least. :) Alec Baldwins classic comic tale is being remade with Mr Raimi taking the helm to make it into a new classic for comic book fans. From Cinematical we get the following update;

Uslan has promised that the latest version would be a brand new take on the character — and Uslan’s cryptic description might leave visions of The Spirit dancing in your heads. “I think the one thing going in is we all see The Shadow as more of a force of nature than a specific person in a secret identity. The Shadow may actually be many people.” But they’re also doing the proper research to stay true to the character. “We’ve gone back to the pulp roots, the comic book roots of The Shadow, with a dash of the radio roots. But we’ve deeply ensconced ourselves in the world of pulps and comics.”

Horror fans hail to the king as Bruce Campbell sells out at Cameo

AN appearance by Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell in Edinburgh next month has sold out in record time.
Bosses at the Cameo cinema were offered the chance to be one of only two cinemas in the UK to screen Campbell's latest film, My Name is Bruce.

The popularity of the cult star saw the cinema sell out the showing in just 13 minutes.

Manager Ian Hoey said: "We expect quite a colourful evening as his fans are quite fanatical.

"The first man to buy a ticket had a Bruce Campbell tattoo on his leg and said he wanted the star to sign it."

Bruce Campbell will be appearing at the Cameo to speak to fans on Thursday, February 5, at 6.15pm.

What's it all about brother? Well its about Evil and Making Love and Setting the mood for Peter Parker and Old Spiced Spies and Alien killing Osteopaths. Brother it's about Bruce Campbell, The King of B movies and a hell of a lot of A movies.

We're looking for anything directly or reasonably indirectly related to Bruce Campbell. In other words, if some lunk from Michigan can't figure out the oddball connection you cooked up it probably doesn't belong here.

Bruce pics, on and off set, memorabilia, posters, props, co-stars, etc.

Ladies of THE EVIL DEAD are now DANGEROUS WOMEN

Directed by Lee Miller and written by David O’Malley, whose credits also include THE BOOGENS and FATAL INSTINCT and who teamed with the EVIL DEAD gang on the female-biker flick EASY WHEELS, DANGEROUS WOMEN (premiering next Thursday, January 22 on Strike.TV with the “Heart in a Jar” webisode) casts the trio—using their real names—as suburban moms. In addition to handling the usual trials of raising kids and running households, they also have to contend with their own evil doppelgangers. “When we saw the script for DANGEROUS WOMEN, it seemed natural that the ‘Ladies of THE EVIL DEAD’ should reunite for the show,” Sandweiss says. “We never thought that something we did in college would have such staying power with such a strong fan base after 30 years.” The series will run as weekly webisodes of four-seven minutes, each ending with a cliffhanger. You can find out more at DANGEROUS WOMEN’s Facebook page here, and stay tuned for updates.

It's "Survivor" meets "Freddy’s Nightmares. " With "Masters of Horror" off the air, and a pending actor’s strike threatening production of movies and TV shows, I guess a horror reality TV series was inevitable.

The series premieres Wednesday, January 7, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET, on The CW.

2009 Horror Movie Preview - 'Drag Me to Hell'

Drag Me to Hell (Sam Raimi) - May 29th: Synopsis: A loan officer ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, who turns her life into a living hell
  • Thoughts: Remember last time Sam Raimi did some horror movies? He came up with one of the most beloved horror franchises ever in Evil Dead. Now I'm not saying the man softened up by Spiderman has lost all his horror movie mojo, I'm just saying he has to prove why community should welcome him back.
  • Unseen recommendation: Even though I'm no longer completely sold on the idea of Sam Raimi coming back to horror, I'm still going to check it out because of my respect for Evil Dead.
