The Evil Dead franchise is back to life not only with Evil Dead: The Game, now available, but also with new movie Evil Dead Rise, which is now set to debut in theaters early next year.

Evil Dead Rise will release IN THEATERS on April 21, 2023! This is a big change over at Warner Bros, as the new movie had previously been set to go direct to HBO Max this year.

This is an incredible show of confidence from Warner Bros., and recent test screenings have indeed suggested that Evil Dead Rise is a winner. Stay tuned for more as we learn it!

Army Of Darkness Gets Mega – 4K Release In October From Scream Factory

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Army of Darkness will arrive on 4K Blu-ray from Scream Factory on October 4th. The four-disc set will feature not one, not two, but three cuts of the film. The 4K transfer will be the theatrical version, featuring a new scan of the original negative that gets the seal of approval from Sam Raimi. The other two cuts will be on regular Blu-ray discs and include the director's cut and the international cut. A plethora of special features are also included. If that is not enough to entice you, it will be available as both a regular release and as a Steelbook.

Evil Dead: The Game New Demon Class “Plaguebringer” Releasing This September

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

...“Plaguebringer” will be the fourth Demon Class in the game so far. It is based on Sam Raimi’s Army of Darkness 1992 movie, and it looks like the class will be led by the movie’s possessed witch.

‘Evil Dead: The Game’ – Mia from the ‘Evil Dead’ Remake Coming Soon!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saber Interactive has been teasing Evil Dead: The Game DLC news since last week, and this afternoon they’ve taken to Twitter to announce a big time update that’s coming soon. 

It would seem, based on the image tweeted out by Saber today (above and below), that Mia from Fede Alvarez‘s Evil Dead remake will soon be added as a playable character! 

Mia was played by Jane Levy in the 2013 movie, the sole survivor of the film’s Kandarian nightmare. Much like Ash Williams before her, Mia emerged triumphant from the cabin in the woods, losing a hand in the process. Mia has become a fan favorite Evil Dead character over the years, with many fans begging her to be added to Evil Dead: The Game. 

We don’t know *when*, but Mia is coming soon to the Evil Dead game. 

This marks the first time Evil Dead 2013 has been included in Evil Dead: The Game, and we can’t help but wonder if more characters – perhaps a remake map? – will be joining Mia soon…
