The Entire Main Cast of Sam Raimi’s ‘The Evil Dead’ Will Be Back in ‘Evil Dead: The Game’!

Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive’s Evil Dead: The Game is still on track for a 2022 release, set to feature single-player and co-op gameplay, promising to be the ultimate Evil Dead experience in the world of video games. Several characters from the movies and TV series will be playable in the game, along with four different versions of Ash Williams.

And yes, Bruce Campbell is voicing all the different versions of Ash – including Evil Ash! – being joined by several other returning stars from the franchise’s past.

Other confirmed playable characters thus far include Ellen Sandweiss‘s Cheryl Williams from The Evil DeadMarcus Gilbert‘s Arthur from Army of Darkness, and Richard DeManincor‘s Scotty from The Evil Dead, as well as Ray Santiago‘s Pablo Simon Bolivar and Dana DeLorenzo‘s Kelly Maxwell from “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” with the demon Eligos from the Starz series being included as well. Henrietta from Evil Dead 2 and Evil Ash from Army of Darkness will also be featured in the game, as well as Henry the Red from Army of Darkness.

The team has also announced some new additions today, confirming that Betsy Baker will be back as The Evil Dead‘s Linda, alongside Theresa Tilly‘s Shelly in “special appearances.” Presumably that means the actors will be voicing their original characters, and this now means that all five main actors from Sam Raimi’s original The Evil Dead will be back for the game!

Sam Raimi Producing Supernatural Romantic Comedy ‘You’re Dead Helene’!

Brad Miska writes:

As director, it’s been too long since Sam Raimi had a little fun with the genre. While his Evil Dead series turned slapstick, his Ghost House Pictures produced a blistering remake that socked the audience right in the face. As producer, he’s also been behind several great genre offerings from Don’t Breathe to Crawl.

Next up, he’s once again blending horror and comedy with You’re Dead Helene, which is based on Michiel Blanchart’s award-winning short film (pictured), which he wrote and directed, says Deadline.

TriStar Pictures has acquired the rights to the supernatural romantic comedy, which is being produced by Raimi and Rob Tapert at Ghost House and Michaël Goldberg and Boris Van Gils at Playbox Pictures. Caellum Allan will oversee the project for TriStar Pictures. Romel Adam will oversee for Ghost House.

“The film is touching and terrifying. Michiel is one of the few modern directors that can balance humor and terror, and he does it in an exciting new way,” said Raimi.
