TV DRAMA: What upcoming original highlights can viewers look forward to?
ZLOTNIK: Ash vs. Evil Dead is a return to a franchise—with Bruce Campbell reprising his role as Ash—that parents and their adult children can love simultaneously. It's an unbelievably fun combination of horror and comedy. It's great to have Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert reunited; there's no better producer than Rob Tapert, and Sam Raimi is a verifiable genius when it comes to putting images on screen. The combination of being able to do a show that is at the same time very modern and has retro elements to it—and feels like the original series but in a very modernized way—is huge fun.

Bruce Campbell took to Twitter to post a picture from the set of “Ash Vs. Evil Dead“, which is currently shooting its first season.
The photo shows film equipment and staff in a forest, crepuscular rays shining through the branches. Campbell simply states, “Even daytime is creepy on the #AshVsEvilDead set.”
“Ash vs. Evil Dead,” which is currently in production in New Zealand, is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film franchise The Evil Dead and is set to premiere on STARZ in Fall 2015.

If you're still trying to catch your breath from our recent announcement of the upcoming Tales From the Crypt films, then steel yourself for the following...ARMY OF DARKNESS - the third film in the Evil Dead franchise, starring Bruce Campbell - is coming to Blu-ray "Scream Factory-style" in October! We will certainly aim to make it the most definitive version to own to date.
We know you'll have lots of questions on this one but we have no concrete details to report at this moment other than that newly-commissioned artwork (yes, its a "Collector's Edition") and pre-order links will be up next month and a full list of extras and specs will appear in early Fall.
Australian subscription on-demand service Stan adds Ash vs Evil Dead to its lineup; will air at the same time as U.S.
Stan has announced two new first-run titles with US drama Power plus TV adaptation Ash vs Evil Dead and ballet drama Flesh & Bone, with the first episode of the latter directed by Aussie David Michod.
All three hail from US cable network Starz.
From executive producer and star Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and show creator Courtney Kemp Agboh (The Good Wife), the crime drama Power is set in two different worlds: the glamorous New York club scene and the city’s brutal drug trade. The first two episodes of Season 2, and the entire first season, premiered exclusively on Stan yesterday. New episodes will be made available every Sunday within hours of the initial US broadcast.
Filmmakers Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert have reunited for Ash vs Evil Dead, currently in production in New Zealand. Expected to premiere late in 2015, with the first episode co-written and directed by Sam Raimi, it will screen same day as the US broadcast.

The “Ash vs Evil Dead” Trailer to Premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con!
It was announced today that STARZ will be bringing their new original series “Ash vs Evil Dead” to this July’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The official Twitter account confirmed the news while adding that Executive Producers and original filmmakers Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell will be bringing the first trailer, along with genre fav Lucy Lawless!
The “Ash vs Evil Dead” San Diego Comic-Con Panel takes place Friday July 10th, Room 6A in the San Diego Convention Center 6:00 – 7:00 PM.

People are very excited about Ash vs. Evil Dead, and that you’re a part of it. When the idea of that was brought to you, what was your reaction?
LAWLESS: “Oh, I’ve gotta be a part of that!” It’s getting the band back together. Even though I wasn’t there, at the beginning of Evil Dead, I obviously have a long association with my husband, Rob Tapert, and therefore Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, who was in Hercules and Xena. I’ve known Bruce for 20 years, and love him. It will be neat to be on a show that he stars in. He used to relish being second banana. Now, he’s first banana, and I get to say, “Suck it up!” He’ll have to get to make-up at 4 am and not complain. He’s divine to work with. I worship him.
What can you say about who your character is and how she fits into the story?
LAWLESS: I don’t really know because I haven’t read all that much of it, to be honest with you. I’m taking it on faith. But, it’s gonna be fun! It had better be good ‘cause this Salem role is truly fascinating, and I can accept nothing less now. The writers on Evil Dead better pull out all the stops!

How bloody is Ash Vs. Evil Dead going to be? Late last month, star Bruce Campbell , who is reprising his role as Ash Williams, shared a photo on his personal Twitter account that showed off his Evil Dead portable blood kit. Now, he's teasing off his blood-splattered eyeball in response to the legendary William Shatner, who asks 'How is everyone?' Bruce Campbell's reply:
"Frankly, Bill...I'm a little sticky."
