'Doc of the Dead': Bruce Campbell on that time he officiated at a zombie wedding -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Have you ever officiated at a zombie wedding? Of course you haven’t. But do you know who has? Bruce Campbell! The Evil Dead star and all-round horror icon recalls his lead role at some deliberately nightmarish nuptials in a new film, Doc of the Dead. Directed by Alexandre O. Philippe (The People vs. George Lucas), the documentary tracks the rise of the zombie phenomenon and, in addition to Campbell, features contributions from Shaun of the Dead actor-writer Simon Pegg, Walking Dead makeup overlord Greg Nicotero, and George A. Romero, among others.

EW Exclusive: 'Evil Dead' director doing 'From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series' episode

The director of last year’s remake of The Evil Dead is taking on an pivotal episode of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.

Fede Alvarez, who impressed fickle Evil Dead fans with his intense and graphic reboot of Sam Rami’s horror classic, is currently shooting the eighth episode of writer-director Robert Rodriguez’s TV reboot of his 1996 cult-favorite film. We can’t reveal much about the episode, except that it involves plenty of bloody mayhem inside a certain Mexican strip club with a very, very long history and that viewers will get to see some of that history firsthand.

From Dusk Till Dawn is being revived as a TV series by Rodriguez for his new Latino-themed English-speaking cable network El Rey. Rodriguez is directing four episodes in the 10-episode first season  and wrote the pilot. The series will make its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 11; a making-of special airs on El Rey on Wednesday night.

Evil Dead II w/Danny Hicks at Logue's Black Raven Emporium, Nashville, TN - Saturday, Feb. 22nd, 7 p.m.

As bright a star in the Evil Dead firmament as fake Shemps and director Sam Raimi’s battered Oldsmobile is actor Danny Hicks, whose shot at screen immortality comes courtesy of an accidental stabbing, a cellar-dwelling ghoul and an anguished cry of, “Bobby Jo-o-o-o!” Hicks parlayed his overall-clad supporting turn in Raimi’s lunatic sequel into a career in auxiliary projects — e.g., the director’s underrated comic-book-movie-before-comic-book-movies-were-cool Darkman, co-writer Scott Spiegel’s supermarket slasher movie Intruder — while honing his cinematic specialty: beating the crap out of Bruce Campbell. Hicks will be at the Cult Fiction Underground at Logue’s Black Raven Emporium for a double feature of his film debut and his latest opus, Stalking Bigfoot — both for the low, low price of $7.
