Actor, author, and producer Bruce Campbell spoke at Hastings College over the weekend. Best known for his work on "Burn Notice" and the "Evil Dead" trilogy, Campbell was chosen through the Artist Lecture Series to speak on the topic of fear. Prior to his speaking engagement, a press conference was held on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Daughtery Center.

Campbell covered a wide array of topics ranging from his legacy, the horror genre, making movies then/now, consumer markets, being stereotyped, finding investors, and his future projects.

Afterwards, Campbell introduced his iconic B-horror film, "Army of Darkness" to audience members in the French Memorial Chapel. He briefly took time to provide the crowd with trivia stories and facts involving the film.

IGN: Jessica Lucas Talks Evil Dead: "It's Just a Gorefest!"

On the heels of a couple of jaw-dropping red band trailers, there’s a lot of buzz building for Evil Dead, the new version of the Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell horror cult classic directed by Fede Alvarez. While speaking to one of the film’s stars, Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) about her upcoming new TV series, Cult (look for more on that soon), I also asked her a bit about what to expect in Evil Dead, which included the involvement of Raimi and Campbell as producers.

Featured eBay Item: The Evil Dead Themed Mirror

This mirror was recently for sale on eBay, but it did not sell. Since it is a one of a kind piece, I thought it was worth posting.

Info from seller:
To coincide with the upcoming release of the remake of one of cinema's best horror films, The Evil Dead.

One of a kind mirror, which captures many of the original film's classic moments.

The mirror measures 42'' max width, a 32'' max height. If you haven't seen the film (shame on you!!) then it really is something you should get round to quickly!! If you have seen the film, then you'll appreciate the finer details of this crazy work of art. Many features are burnt into the wood, the branches, twigs etc are freshly recovered from Bredon Hill, itself steeped in the history of witchcraft and the occult. Real human hair features on the skulls left and right, Cheryl's [they meant Linda's] classic, almost annoying!! little ditty, ''not another peep.... time to go to sleep'' is burnt into the shelf, as are 2 devils pentagrams. Loaded with candles, it creates a real feel for the mood of the film.
