There's been talk of a fourth film in the original series ever since Army of Darkness was premiered in 1992 - and following a 2013 remake of the original Evil Dead, there were rumors of not just a sequel to that movie but also another film bringing together the 'original' and 'reboot' mythologies.
But plans for an Evil Dead cinematic universe have been stripped back and streamlined - instead, we're getting a groovy new spinoff that'll bring Bruce Campbell's anti-hero to the small screen.
